Nursing Training Programs
The Patient Care Services Department (Nursing) maintains an active role in educating nurses in various types of nursing programs directed by Joan Goodman, RN. The Hospital contracts with each school of nursing, which in turn sends faculty members to the Hospital to help coordinate the training experiences.
Between 50 and 80 nursing students are trained per quarter, selected from 8 nursing schools (BOCES, College of Mount Saint Vincent, College of New Rochelle, Columbia University, Dominican College, Dorothy Hopfer School of Nursing, Lehman College, and Pace University). These students were enrolled in LPN, BSN, nurse practitioner, case management, associates degree, and combined degree programs.
