Women's Mental Health Research

The goal of the Payne Whitney Women's Program is the improvement of psychiatric symptoms across the life cycle of women through scientific investigation. Current research studies examine symptoms and treatment in areas such as the menstrual cycle, pregnancy and lactation and menopause. Collaborative studies in endocrinology, neurobiology, psychology, imaging, and psychopharmacological studies unique to women are being conducted. Findings can inform clinical care and contribute to new understanding in the field of women's reproductive psychiatry.
